Privacy Policy

AudioTidy provides browser-based tools for editing and processing audio. We designed AudioTidy to process your files locally whenever possible and to collect as little data as necessary to operate and improve the website.
1. How Your Media Is Processed
Audio and video files selected in AudioTidy editing tools are processed locally in your browser.
When you start the Voice Recorder, your browser asks for permission to access the microphone you select. The microphone stream and completed recording remain in the current browser tab and are not uploaded to AudioTidy servers.
When you start Audio to Text, the selected audio file is securely uploaded to Cloudflare R2 and processed with Cloudflare Workers AI. The source audio is deleted after transcription succeeds or permanently fails.
Completed transcription results are retained for up to 24 hours so you can download TXT and WebVTT copies, then they expire and are deleted.
2. Information We Collect
AudioTidy does not require you to create an account or provide personal information to use its current tools.
AudioTidy uses Google Analytics 4 when enabled to understand how visitors use the website, such as which pages are visited and basic technical information about visits. Google Analytics does not receive the audio files or transcription text you process.
3. How We Use Information
We use uploaded audio only to perform the transcription you request and make its results available for TXT and WebVTT downloads.
If you contact us by email, we use the information in your message, including your email address, to respond to your request, provide support, and maintain the service.
4. Local Browser Data
AudioTidy uses browser storage to remember your theme preference. This data remains on your device and is subject to your browser's storage and privacy controls.
5. Third-Party Infrastructure
AudioTidy may rely on third-party infrastructure providers to host, deliver, protect, or measure the performance of the website. These providers may process limited technical information necessary to provide their services.
Audio to Text uses Cloudflare infrastructure to temporarily process selected audio and store transcription results, and uses Cloudflare Workers AI to produce the transcription. Cloudflare states that Workers AI customer content is not used to train models or improve Cloudflare or third-party services without explicit consent.
Files used with AudioTidy's local editing tools and Voice Recorder are not intentionally sent to these providers as part of their media-processing workflow.
6. Data Retention
AudioTidy does not retain files processed by local editing tools or recordings created with Voice Recorder because that media remains in your browser.
For Audio to Text, source audio is deleted after transcription succeeds or permanently fails. Transcription results are available for up to 24 hours. Automated cleanup and storage lifecycle rules remove expired files and abandoned uploads.
We retain support emails only as necessary to respond to requests, operate the service, and meet applicable legal obligations.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the website and the limited information associated with its operation.
However, no website, browser, network, or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, applicable privacy laws may provide rights relating to personal information, such as requesting access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with you.
Because AudioTidy currently does not require user accounts and collects only limited information through support emails, we may have little or no information that can be directly associated with an individual user.
For privacy-related requests, contact us using the information below.
9. External Links
AudioTidy may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or policies of third-party websites. You should review their privacy policies separately.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when AudioTidy's features, data practices, or legal requirements change. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
